Background & Family
  • Native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula – Escanaba
  • Relocated to Merrimack, NH in 1982
  • Moved to Candia in 2000
  • Married – 2 grown children
Education
  • B.S. in Arts & Media, Grand Valley State College (MI)

  • M.Ed. in Elementary Education, Rivier College

Teaching & School Leadership
  • Over 30 years teaching at Henry W. Moore School (Science, Language Arts, and enrichment)
  • Created the Minds In Motion Enrichment and Challenge program for K–8
  • President of the PTO and the Candia Education Association (teachers’ union)
  • Track coach for 13 years
  • Started the school Chess Club
  • Created the Moore School Butterfly Garden with the local community — featured in TIME for KIDS and a Harcourt-Brace textbook
  • Led the building of the schoolyard labyrinth with staff and students

  • Candia Planning Board member for 25+ years
  • Candia Conservation Commission member for 25+ years (currently serving as Chair)
  • CROPWALK for Hunger – Nashua Chapter
  • Girl Scout EXPO – Bedford

  • OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) presenter – “Walk the Camino, Call Your Rep”
